Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Social Worker to join our team at UNC Health Care. As a Clinical Social Worker, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive, specialized clinical social work services to adult patients, family members, and employees who have experienced intimate partner and/or family violence, including human trafficking and vulnerable adult abuse.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct bio-psychosocial assessments to identify patients' needs and develop intervention plans.
  • Provide short-term therapeutic counseling to patients and their families, addressing social, psychological, financial, and family situations.
  • Collaborate with outside community health and social agencies to ensure patients receive necessary resources and support.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with staff and physicians to ensure effective communication and care coordination.
  • Document patient charts according to department policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
  • Licensed as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA) in the state of North Carolina.
