About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a skilled Electrical & Environmental Systems Technician to join our team at Lockheed Martin. As an Avionics and Electrical Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for modifying, servicing, repairing, and overhauling F-16 aircraft electrical and avionics systems to ensure airworthiness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Modify, service, repair, and overhaul F-16 aircraft electrical and avionics systems to ensure airworthiness.
  • Repair, replace, and rebuild aircraft electrical/avionics system and components.
  • Perform operational checks, pre/post modification/upgrade/overhaul testing, troubleshoot, and repair aircraft electrical and avionics systems as required.
  • Work typically requires a detailed understanding of electrical/avionics circuits and components.
  • Use complex test instruments and computer control equipment.
  • Work will be reviewed by supervisor and/or Quality for compliance with accepted practices.
  • May provide technical guidance.
Requirements
  • Minimum 6 years' experience with F-16 aircraft maintenance and/or modification activities.
  • Must have held a USAF skill level 5 (or equivalent) in their career field.
  • Experienced in F-16 Avionics and Electrics specialties.
  • Be able to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Experience with USAF products and processes to include F-16 hardware and maintenance, technical orders, and technical drawings at the organizational and intermediate levels.
Desired Skills
  • F-16 Nose to Tail experience in either E&E or Avionics career fields.
  • F-16, F-22, F-35, F-15, F-18, A-10, or other fighter aircraft avionics/electrical experience.
  • Prior Aircraft Modification and Maintenance Experience.
  • Microsoft Office Suite Skills.
Security Clearance

This position requires a government security clearance. You must be a US Citizen for consideration.
