This role is ideal for a skilled and seasoned professional eager to spearhead innovative and demanding projects in the industrial water and wastewater sector. The successful applicant will collaborate closely with Geosyntec's top experts in the field to pursue, secure, and implement industrial water initiatives both locally and internationally.

You will engage with teams on ongoing projects, contributing to project delivery and fostering ongoing business relationships with our established clientele.

Utilize your expertise across a diverse range of exciting sectors, including mining, advanced manufacturing, food and beverage, and potable water. Additionally, play a vital role in the growth of our industrial water practice, which has a global footprint and significant influence.

Key Responsibilities:
Collaboration and mentorship are fundamental to Geosyntec's ethos.

We operate under a culture of 'sell-manage-do,' which means you will engage in challenging technical projects while leveraging your knowledge and experience to help Geosyntec enhance its practices and capabilities through business development and client relations.

You may also take on project management duties, alongside staff management and mentorship responsibilities.


Specific duties may include:
Project management – develop project timelines, budgets, and quality assurance plans. Coordinate teams to ensure the successful delivery of industrial water and wastewater projects within established timeframes and financial parameters.

Technical contributions including:
industrial water and wastewater planning, alternatives assessments, design coordination, and cost estimation.


Business development; formulating and executing a business development strategy that focuses on expanding repeat business with current clients and attracting new clients.

Leading proposal development and executing marketing initiatives.

Mentoring junior staff and overseeing subcontractors.

Drafting technical reports, correspondence, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals.

Reviewing and managing the production of written documents.

Preparing for and participating in meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline (civil, chemical, or environmental). (required)

Advanced degree in a relevant field. (preferred)

Professional engineer certification. (required)

Skills and Experience:


A minimum of 8 years of experience in environmental consulting, with familiarity in the industrial water and wastewater sector; or a comparable combination of education and experience.

In-depth knowledge of industrial water and wastewater treatment processes (required) and experience in the mining, advanced manufacturing, or food and beverage sectors. (preferred)

Experience with industrial stormwater management modeling and/or design (preferred)

Proven track record in client management and business development. (required)

Experience working with multi-disciplinary project teams. (required)

Demonstrated success in client development and leadership capabilities. (required)


Ability to thrive in a dynamic consulting environment, manage multiple project assignments, meet tight deadlines, and travel to client sites as necessary.

Exceptional writing and communication skills. (required)

Fieldwork and overnight travel may be necessary.

Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers. (preferred)

Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing may be required.

A valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
