Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluation and Treatment: Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify speech, language, and swallowing difficulties, and develop individualized treatment plans to address these issues.
  • Therapy Implementation: Implement evidence-based therapy techniques to help patients improve their communication skills and quality of life.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, families, and caregivers to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  • Documentation and Progress Monitoring: Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Patient Education and Support: Provide education and support to patients and their families to empower them to manage their communication needs.

Requirements:

  • Education: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Licensure: Valid SLP license in California.
  • Certification: ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
