Position Overview:

The Home Builders Association of Winston-Salem is on the lookout for a dedicated and detail-oriented Events Management Coordinator to enhance our team. This role is pivotal in organizing, facilitating, and executing a variety of events that serve our members and the community.

About Us:
The Home Builders Association of Winston-Salem (HBAWS) has been a cornerstone of the local housing industry since its inception in 1959. As a non-profit trade association, we are committed to the advocacy and advancement of our members, which include builders, remodelers, developers, and various supporting businesses.

Key Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating the annual Triad Home & Garden Show, including managing exhibitor relations and logistics.
  • Overseeing the Spring and Fall Parade of Homes, ensuring builder participation and managing the entry process.
  • Facilitating social functions and meetings, including the Annual Meeting and various award galas.
  • Collaborating with the Executive Vice President to identify growth opportunities for membership events.
  • Maintaining event calendars and promotional materials, ensuring all details are current and accurate.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A four-year degree in a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in event planning.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Additional Information:
This is a full-time salaried position with benefits that include health, life, and disability insurance, as well as retirement plans. Candidates must have a valid driver's license and the ability to work occasional evenings and weekends.
