inSync Staffing is seeking a skilled Low Voltage Systems Technician to join our team. This role involves working with various structured cabling systems and requires a commitment to travel. Candidates must possess their own vehicle, as travel time will be compensated along with mileage and per diem. A valid driver's license is essential, and applicants will undergo a drug screening and background check prior to employment.


Key Qualifications:
  • 2-5 years of experience in low voltage cabling.
  • Proven leadership in managing technician teams on extended projects.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the country.
  • Availability for primarily night shifts and on-call duties.
  • Ability to lead small teams effectively.
  • Strong understanding of industry standards (BICSI, NEC, TIA/EIA).
  • Relevant certifications (BICSI, Systimax, Panduit, Beldon, Corning) are advantageous.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints and site maps.
  • Experience with CCTV, voice, fire alarm, and data cabling is beneficial.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Capability to complete projects on time and within budget.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs and general computer use.
  • Comfortable working independently and collaborating with teams.
  • Knowledge of color codes and cabling infrastructure.
  • Experience with Cat5/CAT6 cabling and installation of small equipment.
  • Ability to manage large cable bundles in IDF and MDF cabinets.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for customer and contractor interactions.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.
  • Possession of basic telecommunication tools and PPE.
  • Reliable transportation with appropriate insurance.
  • Experience in conduit installation is a plus.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Clean driving record with no recent DUIs or DWIs.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain structured cabling systems including fiber, Cat5, and Cat6.
  • Run low voltage cabling in commercial settings, including drilling and limited conduit work.
  • Ensure all cabling is organized and compliant with safety standards.
  • Assist in pre-installation planning and technical solution design.
  • Install cable support structures such as j-hooks and cable racks.
  • Repair cable poles and towers as needed.
  • Conduct tests to verify the functionality of newly installed systems.
  • Troubleshoot network issues effectively.
