About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fleet Services Manager to join our team at Avis Budget Group. As a key member of our fleet services function, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective maintenance of our rental vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Maintenance Plans: Develop, implement, and communicate operating plans to maximize fleet utilization and profitability, directing and controlling the maintenance, vehicle damage repair, and reconditioning of fleet vehicles.
  • Manage Performance Metrics: Manage performance of team members/employees against business plan by setting, communicating, monitoring, and updating goals as needed for key performance indicators on a regular and consistent basis.
  • Assess and Prioritize Workload: Assess out of service, new car, and deletions areas on a daily basis to establish daily workload in all areas of service, repair, and in-fleet/de-fleet.
  • Ensure Quality and Compliance: Ensure all repair orders are completed and processed in accordance with established guidelines, and ensure warranty submissions meet or exceed business plan and all required documentation is submitted.
  • Forecast and Manage Financial Drivers: Forecast, budget, and manage key financial drivers, including S&W per day, warranty recovery, cost per estimate, and cost per deletion.
  • Coordinate Automotive Damage Appraisals: Coordinate automotive damage appraisals/repairs and all activities related to such repairs, including proper documentation of repair orders and the ordering of parts, tools, and supplies.
  • Manage Vendor Relationships: Assist in vendor relationships and workload assignment, ensuring established service levels and quality standards are met and that all vendor management policies and procedures are followed.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: High school diploma required; 2-4 year college degree preferred (or equivalent in education, training, or experience).
  • Management Experience: Minimum of 2 years management experience of employees in a related field (rental car, automotive shop, or service-oriented field).
  • Valid Driver's License: Valid driver's license and successful background check.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Ability to work flexible schedules in a fast-paced environment that may include early morning, nights, or weekends, as determined by business needs.
