Automotive Fleet Supervisor

Job Summary:
This position is responsible for maintaining a safe, reliable, and cost-efficient fleet of vehicles and equipment. The successful candidate will ensure proper use and care of physical assets, prevent equipment failures, control costs, manage vendor relationships, and supervise mechanics within the department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule and review preventative maintenance inspections, monitor repairs, and perform vehicle audits to ensure adherence to safety, regulatory, and appearance standards.
- Analyze equipment or vehicle system failures to determine root causes and resolve problems, and plan and coordinate equipment repairs with internal and external groups.
- Ensure adequate inventory levels to support business processes, adhere to purchasing limits, expense approval procedures, and equipment disposal guidelines.
- Review and approve automotive expenses, determine employee training needs, and conduct performance evaluations.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of mechanical fundamentals, maintenance, diagnosis, and repair to vehicle or aircraft fleet operation.
- Ability to manage equipment repair, oversee problem correction with tools, machinery, and other standard technical equipment.
- Ability to manage inspections, physical assets, and working relationships with vendors.
