Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Respiratory Care Services: Administer medical gases, medication, and aerosols for therapeutic and diagnostic purposes, and provide patient education to promote optimal health outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Conduct Patient Assessments: Perform thorough assessments of patients' respiratory status, including arterial blood gases, pulmonary function testing, and chest x-rays, to inform treatment decisions.
  • Stay Current with Continuing Education: Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date with the latest respiratory care techniques and technologies.
  • Lead by Example: Demonstrate a commitment to excellence and professionalism, serving as a role model for colleagues and promoting a culture of safety and quality.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or a related field.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification, as well as a current Respiratory Care Practitioner License or Temporary Respiratory Care Practitioner License.
  • Experience: At least two years of experience in critical care, with a strong background in respiratory care.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
