Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team at HCA Houston Healthcare Conroe. As a vital member of our patient care team, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department.
Key Responsibilities- Perform and document patient assessment, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure.
- Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate the need for, and response to, respiratory therapy.
- Administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy.
- Assist with placement of artificial airways and initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation.
- Monitor patient for therapeutic response and notify provider and intervene as appropriate in the event of an unintended response.
- Assist with transportation of ventilator-dependent patients and respond to emergent patient situations.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 30 days of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 30 days of employment start date.
- Neonate Resuscitation certification within 90 days of employment start date.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 90 days of employment start date.
- RRT/Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT/RCP) issued through the Texas Medical Board.
- Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
