Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team at HCA Houston Healthcare Conroe. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care to our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Perform and document patient assessment, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure.
  • Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate the need for, and response to, respiratory therapy.
  • Administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy.
  • Assist with placement of artificial airways.
  • Initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation.
  • Monitor patient for therapeutic response.
  • Notify provider and intervene as appropriate in the event of an unintended response.
  • Assist with transportation of ventilator-dependent patients.
  • Respond to emergent patient situations and ensure airway integrity and adequate ventilation during resuscitation as required.
Requirements
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Neonate Resuscitation certification within 90 days of employment start date.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 90 days of employment start date.
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT/RCP) license issued by the Texas Medical Board.
  • Associate Degree from an accredited respiratory program.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist license issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in an acute care setting preferred.
