Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist Lead to join our team at Firelands Health. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our laboratory, ensuring the highest level of quality and accuracy in our testing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of medical technologists and laboratory assistants
  • Develop and implement laboratory policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and accreditation standards
  • Monitor and maintain quality control and quality assurance programs
  • Collaborate with laboratory administrators to develop and implement new testing procedures and technologies
Requirements
  • Associate degree in a laboratory science or medical technology, or equivalent education and experience
  • At least two years of experience in high complexity testing in a designated discipline
  • MT, MLS, CLS, MLT certification with ASCP or equivalent required
  • Chemistry background preferred
  • Specialty certification preferred
