Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Colleagues to Prepare, Administer, and Grade Examinations for the Course
  • Responsible for Ensuring Class Attendance and Grades Are Kept and Submitted
  • Contribute to Strategic Planning and Assessment of Instructional Initiatives to Ensure Quality of Program
  • Develop and Implement Orientation for New Faculty in Both Theory and Clinical Facilities for the Courses
  • Utilize Principles of Teaching That Recognize Characteristics of Adult Learners
  • Maintain Ongoing Efforts to Improve Quality of Instruction
  • Demonstrate or Acquire Skills for Utilizing Online Activities as Enhancers to Course Content/Material During Interactive Teaching and Learning
  • Maintain Accurate Student Records of Attendance, Skills Check-Off Forms, and Assist with Program Data Collection
  • Submit Required Program Reports and Forms to the Director of the Program in a Timely Manner
  • Stay Current with New Technologies and Safety Regulations
  • Participate in Committee Activities Supporting Mission and Function of the Nursing Program
  • Attend Regular Faculty Meetings
  • Oversee Student Clinical Experience in Assigned Healthcare Facilities
  • Evaluate Student Performance in Relation to Clinical Learning Outcomes in Accordance with Policies and Procedures Established by Unitek College, Department of Nursing
  • Provide Constructive Feedback on Clinical Performance Immediately After Observation
  • Assist in Maintaining Student Records of Clinical Attendance, Skills Check-Off Forms, and Assist with Program Data Collection
  • Ensure Clinical Assignments Meet Both Student and Facility Needs
  • Determine Best Method to Observe, Instruct, and Evaluate Students
  • Determine if Clinical Facility Meets All Health and Safety Requirements for Unitek College Students to Attend Clinics
  • Establish Effective Communication Channels with Students Through Office Hours, Electronic Communication, and Other Appropriate Methods
  • Engage in Student Advising Activities

Predicted Salary: $62.50 - $70.00 Per Hour
