Lynden Air Cargo is a US part 121 all-cargo airline based in Anchorage, Alaska. We conduct operations within Alaska and around the world, utilizing our fleet of L382 Hercules aircraft. Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic, motivated, and customer satisfaction-driven individual to join our established Customer Service Department. This position will respond to customer needs and inquiries, as well as work with other departments to meet operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to customer inquiries and provide accurate information regarding rates, routing, and transportation procedures.
  • Act as the main point of contact with scheduled service customers.
  • Quote accurate rates for Lynden Air Cargo shipments and coordinate with other operating companies and secondary carriers to quote comprehensive transportation solutions.
  • Rate house air waybills (HAWB's) and enter shipment information into the company computer system.
  • Enter proofs of delivery (POD).
  • Manifest shipment and flight paperwork, often within time constraints.
  • Support customer outreach activities and initiatives.
  • Coordinate with other departments to meet operational objectives.
  • Work with warehouse and cargo staff to manage on-hand freight inventories.
  • File records and maintain recordkeeping system.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to use sound judgment and common sense in dealing with problems.
  • Ability to make quick decisions in a fully and competent manner with little supervision.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations in a competent and professional manner.
