Job Summary: As an Infrastructure Engineer Researcher at Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd., you will play a critical role in spearheading the research and development of innovative infrastructure solutions that enhance the efficiency, reliability, and security of our IT environment. This role involves evaluating emerging technologies, developing prototypes, and providing advanced technical expertise to guide the design and implementation of next-generation infrastructure systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research to identify emerging technologies and methodologies in Infrastructure and Cybersecurity.
  • Develop and implement innovative solutions to improve the efficiency, security, and reliability of our IT infrastructure.
  • Design and prototype new tools and systems to address infrastructure and cybersecurity challenges.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and solutions into existing systems.
  • Analyze and evaluate the performance of infrastructure systems and cybersecurity measures; Identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Stay up to date on the latest industry trends, threats, and best practices in Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Management.
  • Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and reports.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to other teams and stakeholders within the organization.
  • Participate in the development of policies, procedures, and standards to ensure the security and integrity of our systems.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field; or any equivalent combination of relevant certifications, training, skills, and work experience. Master's Degree preferred.

Experience: 4 years' experience in Infrastructure Management and/or Cybersecurity Operations.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of network architectures, cloud computing, and virtualization technologies.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, and/or C++.
  • Proven experience with cybersecurity tools and frameworks (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, encryption).
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, NIST, ISO/IEC).
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Certifications: CISSP, CEH, and/or CCSP preferred.
