New Home Sales Consultant Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced New Home Sales Consultant to join our team at Home Creations. As a New Home Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for overseeing community sales and supervising the selling and closing process of new residential homes for buyers in the Oklahoma City metro area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for residential community sales activities, including marketing and promoting the community to potential buyers.
  • Ensure that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment and communicating effectively with them.
  • Responsible for maintaining an awareness of all promotions, advertisements, and financing options available to customers.
  • Communicate customer requests to the Area Sales Manager and work with them to resolve any issues.
  • Negotiate and sign contracts, set closings, and work with lenders to ensure a smooth transaction process.
  • Set goals and personal business plan to achieve sales targets and ensure the success of the community.
  • Monitor customer preferences to determine the focus of sales efforts and present recommendations to the Area Sales Manager.
  • Attend weekly meetings and communicate progress reports, as well as attend all staff meetings.
  • Visit realtors and plan area events to promote the community and increase sales.
  • Attend public and marketing events, exhibits, seminars, national, and state sales training events to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
  • Responsible for coordinating the moving of show homes when needed.

Requirements:

  • 1 to 3 years of sales and/or marketing experience in any industry preferred.
  • Associate's degree or two years of college/university completion required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Marketing, Sales, Public Relations, or a related field is preferred.
  • Must be available to work 3 weekends per month.
  • Must be flexible to work in different communities throughout the OKC Metro area (11am-6pm).
  • Valid Oklahoma driver's license required.
  • Reliable transportation is required to travel throughout the OKC metro area.

Work Environment:

The New Home Sales Consultant will work in an office environment with a moderately quiet noise level. Occasionally, the role may require working outdoors.

Physical Demands:

The role requires sitting, using fingers to handle or feel, standing, walking, reaching with arms and hands, and stooping or kneeling. The ability to carry equipment up to 30 lbs is also required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.

Tools and Equipment:

The New Home Sales Consultant will use a computer, telephone, and general office equipment to perform their duties.
