Are you an experienced accounting professional with expertise in financial management and team oversight? We are looking for a dedicated Accounting Manager to enhance our financial operations.This position offers competitive compensation, a potential hybrid work arrangement, and the chance to be part of a vibrant team.
Accounting Manager Position Overview:
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm OR 9:00 am - 5:00 pm (Position may evolve to a hybrid model with 1-2 days of remote work)
  • Salary Range: Direct Hire: $90,000 - $95,000 (Salary may be negotiable based on qualifications)
Key Responsibilities of the Accounting Manager: Oversee and guide accounting personnel.

• Manage and evaluate cash flow, payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable operations.

• Supervise reconciliations and maintain balance sheet and income statement accounts.

• Approve general ledger entries and coding.

• Analyze revenue distributions and expense trends.

• Create training materials to help program managers understand their financial responsibilities.

• Collaborate with the CFO to establish and enforce finance department policies and procedures.

• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations.

• Generate and maintain timely and accurate financial reports in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

• Monitor cash flows and forecast future financial trends.

• Implement systems for data collection, analysis, verification, and reporting.

• Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure the accuracy of financial statements.

• Address financial inquiries by gathering and interpreting relevant data.

• Review financial and legal documents for accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.

• Maintain financial databases and software systems.

• Work with the CFO to devise strategies for the organization's long-term financial objectives.

Qualifications for the Accounting Manager Role:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• Proven track record as an Accounting Manager or in a similar capacity, ideally within a relevant sector.

• Experience in managing financial systems, internal controls, and staff oversight.

• Strong understanding of business accounting practices and GAAP.

• Comprehensive knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting techniques.

• Proficient in accounting software and Excel; familiarity with financial regulations is essential.

• Experience with accounting practices related to government grants and nonprofit funding.
