The Service Coordinator will be responsible for providing service estimates and quotations to potential service customers. This includes parts pricing, labor, travel, per diem, shop supplies, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate all service calls to ensure timely and efficient resolution.
- Manage and process Service Repair Orders (SROs) from start to finish.
- Monitor and improve service technician productivity, aiming for at least 80% - 85% billable hours.
- Process warranty claims and follow up to ensure timely payment.
- Oversee all shipping and receiving duties to maintain a smooth operation.
- Answer incoming service department calls promptly and effectively, minimizing consultation with mechanics.
- Proactively reach out to old customers to offer service work and review past files.
- Collaborate with the team to minimize shop expenses and optimize efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of technician log hours, identifying areas for improvement.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- High School diploma or equivalent work experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Assembly experience is a plus, but not required.
- Basic reading skills and ability to follow directions.
- Customer service orientation and a passion for delivering exceptional experiences.
- Proficiency in computer navigation and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work accurately and thoroughly, with a focus on detail and quality.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively.
