Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with colleagues across various levels to foster a Lean culture and meet objectives related to safety, quality, timely delivery, cost-effectiveness, and employee development.
  • Oversee financial performance by managing expenses and enhancing operational efficiency within the manufacturing sector.
  • Evaluate, compile, and present production key performance indicators, recommending and implementing strategies to improve these metrics.
  • Provide regular updates to the workforce through structured briefings.
  • Champion continuous improvement projects and execute programs that emphasize best practices.
  • Supervise and mentor Production Supervisors, endorsing proposed staffing changes.
  • Quickly resolve material shortages, equipment malfunctions, and staffing challenges to maintain production schedules.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment in promptly reporting safety, personnel, or operational concerns to management.
  • Ensure that company operations adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Expertise in Lean methodologies, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and continuous improvement strategies.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey ideas and information clearly.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Oracle is advantageous.
Education and Experience:
  • A high school diploma is mandatory.
  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including at least 4 years in high-volume manufacturing, demonstrating strong management, planning, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in the Medical Device manufacturing sector is highly desirable.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
  • Regular verbal communication is necessary.
  • Work typically involves standard office equipment in a controlled environment.
  • May require extended periods of sitting or standing, with occasional lifting of items up to 25 lbs.
