Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant Specialist

Baylor Scott & White Health seeks a highly skilled and dedicated Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant Specialist to join our team. This is a full-time opportunity that offers a competitive salary of $110,000 - $130,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patient conditions by performing comprehensive physical examinations and medical histories, developing strategies to avoid hospitalization and/or decrease length of stay.
- Order, collect, interpret, and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic tests to assess patient problems and healthcare needs.
- Prescribe, recommend, or employ medical drug therapies or other therapeutic treatments, performing procedures in accordance with scope of practice, training, and policies.
- Formulate and implement comprehensive patient treatment plans based on assessments, evidence-based medicine, standards of care, and professional guidelines.
- Counsel patients and families regarding medical processes, health management, medication, nutrition, and health promotion.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Less than 1 year of experience.
- Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
