Job Summary

TYLin is seeking a Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer to support project teams and key regional clients in the planning, design, and construction of complex and innovative combined sewer, wastewater conveyance, and wastewater treatment projects.

Responsibilities include consulting and engineering design of complex assignments, reviewing engineering designs, bid packages, RFPs, and Statements of Work, and participating in assignments as a member of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Task Lead as part of an integrated team to deliver long-term projects valued in the range of $300 to $500 M.
  • Act as Owner's representative and adviser to deliver capital projects.
  • Consulting and engineering design of complex assignments, including hydraulic calculations, development of utility plans, design of water and wastewater treatment systems, and cost estimating.
  • Review of engineering designs, bid packages, RFPs, and Statements of Work prepared by others.
  • Participate in assignments as a member of a team, sometimes in a lead role in particular areas of expertise.

Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering is required. M.S. degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in water and wastewater engineering consulting performing studies, design, and construction services for municipal clients.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) licensure is required.
  • Experience in the preparation of contract documents, including drawings and specifications, for complex water and wastewater projects.
  • Experience in the study and design of water and wastewater conveyance systems, including potable water conveyance, wastewater conveyance, pump stations, and hydraulic design calculations.
