Cypress-Fairbanks ISD is seeking a qualified Substitute Cosmetology Instructor to join our team. As a Substitute Cosmetology Instructor, you will be responsible for implementing the District's instructional program and educational philosophy in the subject area of cosmetology, in accordance with district policies and procedures.
Responsibilities- Implement the District's instructional program and educational philosophy in the subject area of cosmetology.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of students.
- Provide instruction and guidance to students in the classroom and laboratory settings.
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
- Manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe and respectful learning environment.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to improve instructional skills and knowledge.
- Cosmetology Operator's License issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience working with children preferred.
- Flexible and able to adjust daily routine.
- Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate a professional appearance and attitude.
- Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior.
- Substitute proficiency test provided by the district.
- Ability to speak, read, and understand the English language.
The Substitute Cosmetology Instructor will work in a fast-paced classroom environment, interacting with students, parents, and colleagues. The ideal candidate will be able to maintain emotional control under stress, frequent standing, stooping, bending, pulling, and pushing, and move small stacks of textbooks, media equipment, desks, and other classroom equipment.
Salary and BenefitsThe Substitute Cosmetology Instructor will be paid $110.00 per day. Benefits include a fingerprinting fee reimbursement and the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive educational environment.
