Maternity Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Maternity Nurse to join our team at WMCHealth. As a Maternity Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough and accurate assessments of patients to identify their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs of each patient.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote healthy outcomes and empower them to take an active role in their care.
- Administer medications and treatments safely and effectively, and maintain accurate records of patient care.
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide high-quality care.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical practices and guidelines to ensure the highest level of patient care.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current RN license in New York State.
- Minimum of 6 months of medical-surgical hospital experience, with previous OB experience preferred.
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, NRP, and EFM, with inpatient obstetrics and EFM certification preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic healthcare environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
