Position: Transmission Vegetation Program Lead

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee vegetation management operations and evaluate contractor performance.
- Independently address moderate to complex challenges, bringing fresh perspectives to existing strategies and objectives.
- Lead project teams to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Manage emergency response efforts in compliance with safety regulations and applicable laws.
- Support operational processes and engage in initiatives aimed at improving efficiency and coordination of vegetation management activities.
- Assist in addressing customer concerns under the guidance of the Program Manager.
- Clarify expectations and directives for contractor personnel as directed by the PG&E Representative.
- Monitor the progress of pre-inspections and tree work completion.
- Participate in agency meetings and field assessments as directed by the PG&E Program Manager.
- Assist in managing both routine and non-routine projects.
- Support the contract review process.
- Conduct database analysis to identify potential issues.
- Perform additional tasks as directed by the PG&E Representative.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of two years of related experience, including at least one year in a leadership capacity.
- Two years of experience in emergency response.
- Two years of experience in hazard tree removal along utility rights of way.
- Familiarity with PG&E's vegetation management practices and proper arboricultural techniques is essential.

Physical Requirements:
This role involves prolonged periods of sitting at a computer or driving to various job sites. Field visits may require navigating uneven terrain, climbing, bending, and working in confined spaces. The ability to lift materials and equipment up to 50 lbs is necessary. Visual acuity for close and distant tasks, as well as depth perception, is required. Extended hours may be necessary during peak seasons.
Work Environment:
The position is primarily office-based with standard temperature and lighting conditions, but also involves exposure to job site conditions, which may include loud noises, dust, fumes, and varying weather. Flexibility in work hours, including early mornings or evenings, may be required.
