About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Supervisor to join our team at HomeGoods. As a key member of our sales and operations team, you will be responsible for executing receiving and merchandising standards, ensuring Associates are processing efficiently and effectively, and working as a team to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Experience: Create a positive internal and external customer experience by engaging and interacting with all customers, and maintaining a clean and organized store.
  • Merchandising and Operations: Orchestrates truck delivery, prioritizing the processing of merchandise onto the sales floor, and ensures merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded.
  • Team Leadership: Trains and mentors Associates on established merchandising and processing principles, monitors productivity of team and coaches as necessary, and ensures adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Store Maintenance: Maintains and upholds merchandising philosophy and signage standards, and ensures compliance with recycling and, where applicable, hazardous waste programs.
  • Communication: Communicates accurately and effectively with management and Associates when setting and addressing priorities, and provides progress updates.
Requirements
  • Experience: 1 year retail and 6 months of leadership experience.
  • Skills: Superior communication and organizational skills with attention to detail, capable of multi-tasking, and able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
  • Teamwork: Team player, working effectively with peers and supervisors.
  • Physical Demands: Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.
