Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Employment Specialist to join our team at Dungarvin. As an Employment Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting individuals with employment goals and aspirations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Assessment and Support: Conduct thorough assessments and interviews with clients to determine their employment goals and potential employer matches.
  • Employment Planning and Development: Assist clients in assessing and furthering their career growth and skills, and provide ongoing employment-related soft and hard skills development to assist clients in obtaining and retaining independent employment.
  • Community Partnerships: Establish and maintain strong community partnerships with other service providers and employers to support client employment goals.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Document data and notes to track client progress toward employment goals and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Professional Development: Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in employment services and participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: One year of related experience and/or training working with people in crisis, specifically in employment services, and a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) with a preference for a Bachelor's degree in the social service field.
  • Skills and Abilities: Self-starter, excellent time management skills, and proactive problem-solving skills, with the ability to work a flexible schedule and travel throughout the area as needed.
  • Technology and Tools: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and Zoom, with the ability to use assigned technology as directed in the community.
