Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas team. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing professional nursing care and related assistance to patients of any age group admitted to the area employed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direction to Licensed Vocational Nurses and non-licensed nursing personnel in providing direct patient care.
  • Support the medical care of patients under the direction of the Medical Staff pursuant to the mission and objectives of the Hospital.
  • Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or the situation.
  • Analyze the assessment data to determine the diagnoses or issues.
  • Identify expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient or the situation.
  • Develop a plan that prescribes strategies and alternatives to attain expected outcomes.
  • Implement the identified plan, coordinate care delivery, and employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
  • Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes.
  • Systematically enhance the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • No experience required.
  • Current RN license in the State of Texas.
  • BLS certification.
  • Unit specific competencies obtained within six months of hire.
