Position Overview: As a Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of those we serve. This position involves providing essential training, assistance, and supervision to individuals in various settings, ensuring they receive the support necessary for their daily activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver training and support in essential life skills, recreational activities, and other necessary assistance in both residential and community environments.
- Assist clients with daily tasks, including meal preparation, personal care, shopping, cleaning, and medication management.
- Foster positive relationships between clients and their employers, promoting community engagement through outings and transportation support.
- Collaborate closely with clinical staff to implement therapeutic and behavioral plans effectively.
Qualifications:
- Preferred experience of six months to one year in the human services sector.
- Possession of a valid Driver's License from your state of residence, with at least one year of post-permit driving experience.
- Minimum age requirement of 18 years.
- Successful completion of background checks.
- A compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to assisting others.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational capabilities, and communication skills.
- A dependable and responsible attitude, coupled with a caring approach.
