Key Responsibilities
  • Adhere to Standards: Ensure compliance with all portion sizes, cooking techniques, and quality benchmarks as per established recipes.
  • Quality Assurance: Take full responsibility for the quality of all dishes served.
  • Presentation: Follow proper plating techniques with appropriate garnishes for each dish.
  • Station Setup: Prepare the cooking area with necessary ingredients, condiments, and garnishes at the beginning of each shift, restocking as required.
  • Sanitation: Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation, including all cooking equipment and surfaces.
  • Product Handling: Properly handle, store, and rotate all food items.
  • Closing Duties: Effectively close the kitchen by following the designated closing checklist and assist team members in this process.
  • Team Collaboration: Exhibit positive interpersonal skills and support fellow team members throughout the shift.
  • Attendance: Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
Qualifications
  • Culinary Skills: Previous experience in food preparation and knowledge of HACCP standards is essential.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year of relevant cooking experience is preferred, especially in a high-volume or fast-casual dining setting.
  • Food Knowledge: Familiarity with various cooking methods including Soups, Sauté, Fry, and Pantry operations.
  • Communication: Ability to read, comprehend, and communicate instructions and policies effectively.
  • Physical Requirements: Capability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, and perform tasks that require bending, twisting, and standing.
  • Safety Awareness: Regularly work with sharp utensils and in hot environments, while adhering to safety protocols.
