Audiovisual Designer Job Description

Stantec is seeking an experienced Audiovisual Designer to join our team. As an Audiovisual Designer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing audiovisual systems for various markets, including Workplace, Broadcast, Healthcare, Hospitality, Civic, Government, Command and Control, and Education.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop audiovisual systems, including pathway drawings, audiovisual plan drawings, systems single line drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other design team members to ensure coordinated design efforts.
  • Develop efficient and accurate solutions to design problems.
  • Research and prepare coordinated design options.
  • Review drawings and research codes and standards issues to comply with city, state, county, and federal regulations.
  • Communicate with manufacturers and contractors to address challenges and develop practical designs.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Audio Engineering, Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
  • 5 years of experience in audiovisual design or a related field.
  • Strong working knowledge of Revit MEP and AutoCAD MEP.
  • Ability to prepare detailed design drawings with supervision.
  • Ability to integrate design elements with architectural, civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, and other disciplines to deliver a coordinated design.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems for the built environment.
  • Basic knowledge of applicable codes and standards, including ANSI/TIA, AVIXA, and BICSI best practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CTS-D certification.
  • Experience with BlueBeam, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom.
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary range: $88,000 - $127,600.
