We're seeking a driven Design Leader who can help us take our design systems to the next level.

About the Role

We're looking for a seasoned Design Leader with a deep understanding of design systems and a passion for usability, visual consistency, and effective communication. As a key member of our design team, you'll be responsible for managing, mentoring, and coaching a team of skilled designers to deliver high-quality work. You'll work closely with engineering and product management to drive shared vision and execution of product plans, and you'll be responsible for delivering UX vision and plans for evolutionary, iterative updates that actualize our larger vision over time.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and mentor a team of designers to deliver high-quality work
  • Work across product R&D through the lens of the Design System
  • Identify and prioritize usage scenarios through customer research and competitive analysis
  • Design and build functional prototypes, and path towards Dev-ready execution
  • Partner with engineering and product management to drive shared vision and execution of product plans
  • Deliver UX vision, along with a plan for evolutionary, iterative updates, that actualize the larger vision over time
Requirements
  • Degree in human-computer interaction, interaction design, visual design, or equivalent work experience
  • 10+ years of experience in designing world-class software
  • 5+ years of experience in managing multiple designers
  • Expert knowledge of user-centered design principles
  • Experience in design and developing Design Systems at scale
  • Fluency and expertise with Figma, and industry-standard design tools
  • Depth of understanding in modern UI Frameworks (e.g. React)
  • Solid portfolio of work spanning multiple projects
  • Experience with UX for enterprise software products, channels, or marketplaces a plus
  • Experience working with agile development teams (agile/scrum/kanban)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills
What We Offer

We offer a comprehensive compensation package, including a base salary range of $167,826 - $252,174, as well as bonuses, stock options, and other forms of compensation. We also offer a range of benefits, including comprehensive medical, dental, vision, disability, and life benefits, a Health Savings Account (HSA) with employer contribution, 401(k) matching with immediate vesting on employer match, flexible PTO, 8 paid holidays and 5 paid days for Annual Holiday Week, Quarterly Recharge Fridays (paid days off for mental health recharge), 18 weeks paid parental leave, access to Coaches and Therapists through Modern Health, 2 volunteer days per year, and commuting benefits.
