About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Transportation Planner - Project Manager to join our team at Lochner. As a key member of our transportation planning team, you will be responsible for leading the development of multi-modal plans, including Active Transportation Plans, Complete Streets Plans, Corridor Plans, and Safety Plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of transportation plans and projects, including project management, client management, and business development.
  • Manage and coordinate project teams, including staff and sub-consultants, across multiple offices and locations.
  • Develop and implement transportation planning strategies, including multimodal transportation systems, transit networks, active transportation networks, and traffic analysis.
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality results.
  • Mentor and guide junior planning staff to ensure their professional growth and development.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in transportation planning, with at least 3 years of experience in managing planning professionals.
  • Experience in managing planning projects of various sizes and complexities, including VMT and modeling experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in urban planning, engineering, urban geography, or a related field.
  • Experience in development of multi-modal plans, including Active Transportation Plans, Complete Streets Plans, Corridor Plans, and Safety Plans.
  • Demonstrated experience in aspects of project and client management, project development, and business development.
