Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Hardware Systems Engineer to join our team in the U.S. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving OpenBMC firmware, designing and developing features based on various industry standards, engaging with vendors, and designing solutions for observability and configurations.

The ideal candidate will have experience developing firmware and/or embedded software, knowledge of servers, enterprise systems, and hardware interfaces, and familiarity with Redfish standards. They will also be curious and eager to learn, with good communication, collaboration, and detail-oriented skills.

The Hardware Team at Cloudflare is responsible for delivering the company's security goals and projects in 2024 and beyond. The successful candidate will be part of this team and will work closely with other teams to understand HW security requirements and build a set of features/roadmap for Cloudflare.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and improve OpenBMC firmware
  • Design and develop features based on various industry standards
  • Engage with vendors and guide them through our requirements
  • Design solutions for observability and configurations
  • Partner with teams internally to understand HW security requirements and build a set of features/roadmap for Cloudflare
Requirements
  • Experience developing firmware and/or embedded software
  • Knowledge of servers, enterprise systems, and hardware interfaces
  • Familiarity with Redfish standards
  • Curious and eager to learn
  • Good communication, collaboration, and detail-oriented skills
