We are seeking a highly skilled AI Hardware Systems Engineer to join our team at eBay Inc. in San Jose, CA. As a key member of our Hardware Engineering team, you will play a critical role in driving the development and deployment of AI hardware platforms that power our e-commerce platform.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and test AI hardware platforms, including AI accelerators, to optimize performance and efficiency.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including AI platforms, platform teams, and technology vendors, to ensure seamless integration and deployment of AI hardware solutions.
- Develop and maintain automation tools and scripts to streamline testing and qualification of AI hardware platforms.
- Work with customers to debug and resolve issues related to AI hardware performance and reliability.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI hardware technologies and identify opportunities to improve performance, reduce costs, and enhance customer experience.
- 5-8 years of experience in systems engineering, with a strong focus on AI hardware and Linux operating systems.
- Experience with AI frameworks and platforms, including PyTorch, DeepSpeed, and MLPerf.
- Proficiency in Python and Bash programming languages, with experience in automation and scripting.
- Strong understanding of Linux kernel development and compilation.
- Experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
- BS in EE or CS, with a strong academic record and continued education in AI and hardware engineering.
- Experience with AI accelerators from multiple vendors and their architectures.
- Familiarity with extending monitoring frameworks like Prometheus.
- Knowledge of cloud computing concepts and Kubernetes.
- Experience with profiling and performance tools like perf, vtune, and performance co-pilot.
- Ability to analyze logs and work with data repositories to drive technical decisions.
