Job Title: Hardware Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Hardware Design Engineer to join our team at Cisco Systems. As a key member of our High-End Routing hardware team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative hardware solutions for our groundbreaking routers.

About the Role

As a Hardware Design Engineer, you will work closely with our team of engineers to design and develop hardware for our Cisco 8000 series routers. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and developing hardware specifications and test plans
  • Collaborating with ASIC teams to bring up hardware and debug issues
  • Using Cadence/Allegro to develop and collect schematics
  • Guiding layout and routing phase of the design
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
  • 7+ years of experience in system-level development
  • Experience in Ethernet, high-speed servers (>10G) interfaces, high-speed design, and/or signal integrity
  • Board design knowledge, including familiarity with design tools such as Cadence Concept and/or Allegro
