We are seeking an experienced Staff Development Coordinator - RN to join our team at Liberty Healthcare and Rehabilitation Services. As a key member of our nursing team, you will be responsible for coordinating the staff development program, acting as a personnel health nurse, and providing orientation for all employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive staff development program to enhance the skills and knowledge of our nursing staff.
- Act as a personnel health nurse, providing medical guidance and support to employees.
- Design and deliver orientation programs for new employees, ensuring a smooth transition into their roles.
- Conduct training sessions on blood borne pathogens, hazard communication standards, and other relevant topics.
- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to review incident reports and identify areas for improvement.
- Assist with in-house in-service training and workshops to promote staff development and engagement.
- Supervise nursing staff as needed, ensuring that work assignments are completed efficiently and effectively.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse with a current, valid RN license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
- Five years of nursing experience in a long term care setting, and/or nursing education experience.
- Ability to provide quality nursing care and genuine interest in geriatric nursing.
- CPR certification.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to supervise and motivate nursing staff.
- Ability to make decisions regarding nursing problems and provide medical guidance to employees.
