Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Representative III to join our Emergency Department team at Huntington Hospital. This is a per diem position that requires strong customer service skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional patient experience by working with physician offices, ancillary departments, Case Management, and Business Office.
  • Float to all areas within Patient Access, ensuring seamless patient flow and high-quality service.
  • Manage conflicts and service recovery with a positive and upbeat attitude.
  • Collect and verify patient information, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure timely and efficient patient registration.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college experience preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in healthcare financial counseling or a related field.
  • Strong organization and customer service skills, with excellent analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft applications (Outlook and Excel).
  • Ability to type 35 wpm and pass competency tests on a regular basis.
