About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Program Coordinator to join our team at the American Heart Association. As a Program Coordinator, you will play a critical role in supporting the research awards process and day-to-day management of grants and fiscal officers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage notification to research applicants and institutions
  • Manage contract agreements for awarded projects
  • Manage award activation process (collecting forms and resolving concerns)
  • Supervise awards for compliance with American Heart Association policies and procedures
  • Manage active awards, change requests and related inquiries
  • Manage award payment process
  • Reviews annual financial reports for compliance with policies
  • Monitors annual scientific report submissions
  • Manage/coordinate record retention of award agreements and payment information
  • Provides information and consultation to all customer groups (awardees, institutional personnel, and sponsors)
  • Data Quality Reviews to evaluate the accuracy of information and payments for transferring and terminating awards and documents findings to management
  • Supports annual institutional audit
  • Assist management with special projects as needed/assigned
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum two (2) years of related experience required
  • Strong customer service and organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate information accurately and effectively to diverse audiences
  • Experience working with databases and electronic reporting tools
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong computer skills (Word, Pwr Point, Excel)

  • Bachelor's Degree
