About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Behavior Technician to join our team at Clover Park School District. As a Behavioral Support Specialist, you will work under the supervision of a board-certified behavior analyst (BCBA) or a behavior specialist to provide one-on-one or group instruction and support to students with autism and/or behavioral health needs.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct instruction and support to students with autism and/or behavioral health needs in various settings, such as classrooms, playgrounds, cafeterias, etc.
  • Follow the individualized education plan (IEP) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs) developed by the school.
  • Use positive reinforcement and other ABA techniques to teach students new skills and reduce challenging behaviors.
  • Collect and record data on student performance, behavior, and response to intervention.
  • Report any changes or concerns to the teacher and the behavior specialist.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff members to ensure consistency and continuity of care.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED, plus a minimum of six months prior work/volunteer experience providing individual instructions, preferably in a health care environment.
  • Demonstrates effective and professional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and part of a team.
  • Demonstrates strong organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Has reliable transportation and is able to travel to/from multiple assignments/locations on a daily basis.
