About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Transportation Engineer to join our Oakland team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and delivering multimodal transportation projects, including roadway reconfigurations, intersection redesigns, and bikeway and trail design.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in transportation engineering, with a focus on multimodal transportation and Complete Streets design. You will have experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, ArcGIS, and Synchro, and be proficient in collision data, safety countermeasure selection, and safety audits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and deliver multimodal transportation projects, including roadway reconfigurations, intersection redesigns, and bikeway and trail design
  • Develop concept design drawings, construction documents, and cost estimates
  • Conduct traffic and crash analysis, and design guidance and standards
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary project teams to deliver high-quality projects
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in civil/transportation engineering
  • Professional engineering license (California preferred)
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in transportation engineering, including multimodal transportation and Complete Streets design
  • Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, ArcGIS, and Synchro
  • Proficient in collision data, safety countermeasure selection, and safety audits
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
