MRI Imaging Specialist

Chesterfield Imaging Center, a leading provider of high-quality imaging services, is seeking a skilled MRI Technician to deliver exceptional patient care. As a dynamic and supportive work environment, we value diversity and inclusion.
Key Responsibilities- Obtain high-quality MRI images of patients, adhering to established scanning protocols and adjusting as necessary.
- Ensure patient safety by screening for contraindications, utilizing protective equipment when required, and operating the MRI scanner safely and competently.
- Perform all necessary computer operations, including Meditech and PACS, to ensure proper charges are entered and referring physicians' orders are verified.
- Rend patient care in a professional and courteous manner, preparing examination rooms for MRI procedures and maintaining room cleanliness and neat appearance.
- Obtain IV access and administer contrast agents as required, reviewing each exam for technical accuracy and completing the verification process in PACS.
- Assist the PACS Administrator and MRI Supervisor with PACS clean up, including unarchived images and unspecified exams.
- Complete and maintain educational requirements, adhering to Policy and Procedure for maintaining strict confidentiality regarding employees and patient information.
- Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology, with continuing education credits as mandated by the ARRT for licensure.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) certification within six months of hire.
