Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Inside Sales Specialist to join our team. As the primary contact for inbound sales inquiries, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, supporting the field sales organization, and working cross-functionally with internal teams to grow our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle and route inbound customer and prospect communication through phone, email, and web inquiries, providing excellent sales and customer service.
  • Prospect for new business using phone, email, social media, and other channels to find new customers and opportunities.
  • Support new customers with account setup, order entry, quote and proposal generation, and other sales activities to grow the business and provide an excellent customer experience.
  • Support sales activities and projects as assigned for strategic market growth and build sales pipeline leads, including research projects and marketing content development and support.
  • Work collaboratively with the sales team, marketing, product, and leadership to coordinate activities, provide voice of customer, and generate compelling messages that resonate with customers.
  • Ensure timely and appropriate follow-up on leads and prospects.
  • Report on lead generation and sales activity metrics.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in biology or a related life sciences field, advanced degree preferred.
  • One+ years of experience in a sales or customer-facing role with sales and prospecting experience desired.
  • Understanding of scientific terminology and lab techniques strongly desired.
  • Experience with sales automation and CRM tools.
  • Experience in a Life Science environment preferred.
  • Good team player with ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a hands-on approach and demonstrated ability to multi-task and think creatively.
  • Demonstrated ability to overcome objections through value proposition positioning to customer needs.
  • Strong organizational and analytic skills, time management, and ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A customer-centric mindset to provide the best possible experience to our customers.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
