Position Overview:
We are in search of a skilled Reliability, Maintainability, and Safety (RAMS) Engineer who will be tasked with evaluating and ensuring the reliability, maintainability, and safety of communication systems. This role encompasses the execution of hardware and software evaluations, along with the development of technical documentation and presentation materials. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting Reliability Predictions
- Performing Maintainability Predictions
- Executing Failure Modes Effects & Criticality Analyses (FMECA)
- Carrying out various Safety Analyses
The ideal candidate should possess familiarity with relevant military, governmental, and commercial standards such as MIL-HDBK-217F, MIL-HDBK-470, MIL-STD-882, NFPA70, and NAS 411.
The selected individual will collaborate within a multidisciplinary engineering development team and will be expected to effectively manage time and resources to support multiple simultaneous projects. Additionally, the candidate will prepare and present technical data during client reviews.
Security Clearance: Due to the sensitive nature of our operations, qualified candidates must have or be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance. Occasional travel may be required.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with at least 2 years of related experience. Alternatively, a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficient in MS Office and willing to enhance skills as necessary.
- Strong mathematical abilities, particularly in probability and statistics.
- Self-driven with the capability to manage and complete projects within budget and time constraints.
- Preference will be given to candidates with prior RAMS experience.
