Role Overview:

Under general supervision, the CT Technologist operates Cat Scan equipment, ensuring patient safety while producing diagnostic images. Responsibilities include:

  • Positioning patients accurately for imaging procedures.
  • Performing imaging with and without contrast for various medical conditions.
  • Adjusting equipment settings to achieve optimal results.
  • Monitoring patients closely and providing first aid when necessary.
  • Collaborating with physicians to address any discrepancies in examinations.
  • Conducting clerical tasks related to patient records and imaging requisitions.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the work environment.
  • Participating in quality improvement and safety initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Medical Radiologic Technologist by the Texas Medical Board.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology.
  • Ability to evaluate radiographs for quality and accuracy.
  • Skill in the operation of Cat Scan equipment.
