Iconica is seeking a Field Engineer & Safety Intern to join our team for summer 2025

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote job site safety by participating in safety meetings, conducting audits, and ensuring adherence to safety regulations.
  • Assist in developing and implementing safety plans and procedures to create a safe work environment for all team members.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and construction project managers to keep tasks on schedule.
  • Construct, install, and remodel wood and steel structures using hand and power tools.
  • Learn the proper sequence of activities to assemble a building.
  • Review subcontractor scopes of work, conduct shop drawing reviews, and follow up on punch list and warranty items.
  • Assist with quality control by helping create punch lists and verifying completed work.
  • Support project schedules and safety initiatives to meet client commitments.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients and subcontractors.
Requirements:
  • Enrollment in a Civil Engineering or Construction Management program.
  • Previous internship experience in design-build or construction (preferred).
  • Leadership involvement in extracurricular activities or student organizations.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within teams.
  • High initiative and passion for learning.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
