As an Intralogistics Software Specialist at TGW Logistics Group, you will play a crucial role in supporting the sales team to secure profitable contracts by ensuring that our solutions are feasible and compatible with potential clients' existing workflows and industry standards in distribution. In this pivotal position, you will primarily engage with a customer's Project Lead, IT, and Operations teams to conduct a thorough analysis of their current distribution workflows where TGW's systems will be implemented. This insight will be fundamental to your contributions during the sales process, where you will assist in various design tasks and create essential deliverables that guarantee the project's success and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver software and IT-related responses for prospective RFI's, RFP's, and IT evaluations.
- Collaborate on software designs with the software realization team.
- Assist in crafting documentation for the software and IT components of client proposals.
- Work closely with solutions design, project coaching, and application engineering teams.
- Provide insights for simulation definitions and evaluate results.
- Engage in WCS to PLC integration design efforts.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Operations Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience in high-level design or operation of diverse intralogistics or similar software systems.
- Strong understanding of software systems and IT architecture.
- Experience with material handling equipment or analogous technologies (e.g., shuttle systems, miniload cranes, conveyor systems, pick stations).
- Proven experience in implementing or enhancing various supply chain strategies and the corresponding software.
- Willingness and capability to travel up to 25% of the time for training, workshops, and customer site visits for fact-finding and presentations.
