About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Science and Analytics Consultant to join our team at TransUnion. As a key member of our analytics team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing advanced data analytics solutions to drive business growth and improve customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop custom segmentation and scoring solutions using SAS, Python, and other statistical and modeling tools.
  • Assemble, cleanse, and analyze new and existing TransUnion data assets to develop new and custom solutions.
  • Work directly with product management and data engineering teams to understand requirements, develop data science methodologies, and implement new data products and custom solutions.
  • Become a subject matter expert on leveraging TransUnion marketing data assets and customer analytics to help clients make informed marketing decisions.
  • Investigate internal and external data analytics questions and respond with methodology descriptions and suggestions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with mathematical or engineering background: Statistics, Data Mining, Operations Research, Econometrics, Finance, Engineering or similar.
  • 5+ years of experience working on modeling and data-intensive analytics solutions.
  • Solid understanding of data mining and statistics concepts and familiarity with real-world applications of those techniques.
  • Hands-on experience in machine learning, working with commercial and/or open-source statistics and data mining packages.
  • Ability to work with demographic data from various sources and agencies, including designing and conducting surveys to gather population data, interpret data to identify trends and patterns in population dynamics.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, ability to clearly present and explain statistical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong inter-personal collaboration skills, ability to manage multiple projects with a large cross-functional team.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to learn in a fast-paced environment, adapt to the situation, be flexible and nimble in terms of work planning, and to think quickly on your feet.
  • General curiosity, a willingness to experiment, pragmatism, and the ability to handle ambiguity.
What We Offer

At TransUnion, we offer a competitive salary range of $95,000 to $156,000, plus bonus incentives. We also provide flexible benefits, including flexible time off, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and more.
