ROLE SUMMARY:

The role involves providing support through the development and execution of high-quality youth athletics and activity programs at TLC. This position includes direct oversight of elementary coaches and student-athletes participating in after school programs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise elementary athletic activities, including practices, games, and related events.
  • Manage, recruit, and promote our after school programs across the school.
  • Maintain attendance records for Athletics and After School Programs, ensuring effective communication with TLC educational departments.
  • Ensure a safe and clean environment by regularly inspecting practice and event areas for safety hazards and reporting any issues to the Athletic Director.
  • Document and report all accidents or incidents occurring on and off campus to the Nursing Department and Athletic Director.
  • Assist the Athletic Director in overseeing youth program staff, coaches, and officiating as necessary. Communicate schedule changes and transportation needs to parents and caregivers.

Qualifications:

  • B.A. or B.S. degree in sports management, education, child development, family studies, or recreation is preferred.
  • Conversational fluency in American Sign Language is required; native or near-native fluency is preferred.
  • Ability to effectively enforce rules and maintain a code of conduct.
  • Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required.
  • National Federation High School Coach's Certification is preferred but not mandatory.
