Housekeeping Supervisor Job Description

Colwen Hotels is seeking a detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our housekeeping team and uphold company and brand standards for delivering exceptional cleanliness to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Tour and inspect rooms daily to monitor property cleanliness, safety, and security, product quality, and exceptional service.
  • Provide support to the Executive Housekeeper and hotel leadership.
  • Work to continuously improve guest satisfaction scores.
  • Conduct self-audits to improve performance and cleanliness.
  • Verify the number of associates to the number of rooms and monitor productivity.
  • Assign specific responsibilities to associates.
  • Identify vacant rooms to be cleaned first on boards.
  • Check vacant ready rooms to verify actual status.
  • Record performance checks as guests check out throughout the day.
  • Check rooms for arriving VIPs.
  • Ensure housekeeping associates have adequate supplies and carts are neatly packed and organized.
  • Report unserviceable rooms to the General Manager/Executive Housekeeper.
  • Assist housekeeping associates in duties as needed.
  • Assist with cleaning of public spaces as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Prior related work experience, hotel experience preferred.
  • Specific brand knowledge is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in English language/Bilingual is a plus.
  • Ability to learn new computer software programs and operate the property management system.
  • Familiar with common computer software programs.
  • Willingness to work a 7-day rotational work schedule including weekends and holidays.
