Compensation

Management team members can earn a total compensation ranging from $50k to $70K, depending on the position, with limitless career advancement opportunities. Join our remarkable team where you become part of a growing family, valuing each member equally. Team Members are compensated hourly, averaging 45-50 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

Human Resources:

  • Ensure all store personnel are knowledgeable about various products in collaboration with our training department.
  • Promote outstanding customer service delivery by employees.
  • Foster a collaborative team-oriented environment through effective communication and emotional intelligence.
  • Guarantee adequate staffing levels at all times.
  • Direct employee tasks to optimize store operations.
  • Supervise staff, providing constructive feedback, guidance, and coaching.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations to assess employee performance and administer disciplinary actions as necessary, following company policy.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures outlined in the JC Licht Employee Handbook and all applicable federal/state regulations.
Store Operations:
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels to meet customer demands while aligning with budgetary constraints.
  • Control inventory losses through proper management and documentation.
  • Manage expenses effectively.
  • Ensure proper opening and closing of the store per company policy.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork and reports accurately and promptly.
  • Uphold merchandising standards set by the JC Licht Senior Management Team, including window displays and promotional setups.
  • Actively engage in store activities, including unloading shipments, stocking shelves, and assisting customers.
Sales & Account Management:
  • Support the development of new accounts and enhance sales of existing accounts through targeted initiatives.
  • Communicate store goals and objectives to all personnel.
  • Ensure proper setup and management of commercial accounts.
  • Assist with outside sales efforts as needed.
Financial Management:
  • Monitor accounts payable, receivable, and banking procedures, resolving issues as they arise.
  • Utilize various business reports to identify opportunities for sales, gross margin, and expense control.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the company's purchasing policies and procedures.
Customer Focus:
  • Address customer concerns efficiently and effectively.
  • Assist customers professionally and promptly upon entering the store.
  • Answer customer calls in a timely and appropriate manner according to company guidelines.
  • Provide knowledgeable assistance regarding all product lines and services offered.
  • Ensure the store's physical appearance is well-maintained and all equipment is in excellent working order.
  • Encourage additional merchandise sales to assist customers in completing their projects.
  • Maintain a professional appearance, uphold good attendance, and arrive at work punctually.

Qualifications
  • A two or four-year college degree or equivalent work experience is required.
  • Effective financial planning and management skills are essential.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and emotional intelligence are necessary.
  • A minimum of 2 years of retail experience, preferably in a related industry; inside sales experience is a plus.
  • The role involves a variety of tasks, including bending, lifting, and sitting.
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and be available to work up to 45-50 hours per week.
